Terms of Use
Last updated: 8 October 2026
These terms set out the rules for using our website and training platform. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them. Buying a course is covered by our Terms of Sale as well.
1. Who we are
Discover Training Ltd, trading as Mindskills Matter, company number 08375435.
Address: Wigan Hall, New Market Street, Wigan, WN1 1HH, United Kingdom.
Email: support@mindskills.com. Phone: 01942 356580 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm).
In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Discover Training Ltd, and “you” means the person using the platform.
2. Who can use the platform
You must be 18 or over to create an account or buy a course. If you use the platform on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
3. Your account
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- An account is for one person only. Do not share your account or let others use your login.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
4. Course content and your licence
All course materials, including text, images, videos, quizzes and certificates, belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other rights. When you gain access to a course, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for your own learning (or, for staff training, for the individual who redeemed the code).
You must not:
- copy, record, download, share, resell or publish course content, except where we expressly allow it;
- give your login or an access code to anyone else, or use a code you are not entitled to use;
- use automated tools to copy content from the platform; or
- use our name, branding or course content to suggest you are connected to us or to offer your own training.
5. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the platform. In particular, you must not try to break or bypass its security, interfere with other users, upload harmful code, submit false information, cheat on quizzes or otherwise break the law.
6. Certificates
We issue a certificate when you complete a course and meet its requirements. Each certificate has a verification code that others can use to check it. You must not alter a certificate or use one that was not issued to you. We may withdraw a certificate that was obtained by cheating, fraud or a breach of these terms.
A certificate shows that you completed a course with us. Unless a course page clearly says otherwise, it is not a regulated qualification. Where a course is accredited by another body, the course page will say so.
7. Wellbeing and safeguarding content
Some courses cover mental health, wellbeing and safeguarding. They are for general education and awareness. They are not medical, psychological, legal or safeguarding advice and are not a substitute for professional help. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999.
If you need to talk to someone, you can contact:
- Samaritans: 116 123 (free, 24 hours);
- NHS 111 for urgent medical help or advice; or
- Shout: text SHOUT to 85258 (free, 24 hours).
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the platform available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be free from interruptions or errors. We may update, improve or remove content or features, and may suspend access for maintenance. If we permanently withdraw a course you have bought and not completed, we will refund you in line with our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
9. Third-party content
Some lessons use videos or links from other providers, such as YouTube. We are not responsible for third-party websites or content.
10. Suspension and ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. We will tell you why where we can. This does not affect your legal rights.
11. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit. If you are a consumer, your legal rights are not affected.
Subject to that, we are not liable for loss that was not a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach, and we are not liable for loss of profit, business, contracts or opportunity. If you use the platform for business purposes, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Privacy
How we use your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example to reflect changes in the law or in our service. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. If we make an important change, we will tell you on the site or by email. If you keep using the platform after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms. The version in force when you bought a course continues to apply to that purchase.
14. Complaints
If you are unhappy, please contact us at support@mindskills.com or on 01942 356580. We aim to reply within 5 working days and to resolve the matter fairly.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring a claim in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.
