Cookie Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
This policy explains the small files and browser storage we use, and why. We only use what is needed to run the site, so we do not show a cookie consent banner.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work in the same way. This policy covers both.
2. What we use
| Name or type | Purpose | Lasts | Needed? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sign-in cookies (set by our provider Supabase, names start with “sb-”) | Keep you signed in and keep your account secure | Until you sign out, or for a limited period | Strictly necessary |
| Stripe cookies (such as “__stripe_mid” and “__stripe_sid”), only on the payment page | Fraud prevention and secure payment | Up to 1 year | Strictly necessary |
| Browser storage keys “ms-hide-global-nav” and “ms-hide-lesson-sidebar” | Remember your lesson screen layout choices | Until you clear your browser data | Strictly necessary for the feature you chose |
These are essential for providing the service you asked for, so the law does not require your consent for them.
3. Analytics and performance
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand how many people visit and how quickly pages load. These tools do not use cookies and do not track you across other websites.
4. Videos
Some lessons play videos from YouTube. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which is designed not to store information on your device until you play a video. When you play one, Google may receive your IP address and may set cookies. See Google’s cookie information.
5. What we do not use
We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking or other marketing trackers. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
6. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in or pay. Guidance is available at ico.org.uk.
7. More information
